AuthorByline is a website-hosting service for authors, operated by Dictate ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

To build and host your site we use the information you provide about you and your book, and the content of the book project you bring to us. When a reader submits a form on your site, we collect the name, email, and message they enter so we can deliver that lead to you.

How we use it

We use your information to design, publish, and maintain your website and to pass reader inquiries to you through our customer systems. We do not sell your information or your readers' information.

Reader form submissions

Messages submitted through a site's contact form are forwarded to the author and stored in our customer-relationship system so the author can respond. Readers may ask an author to remove their information at any time.

Hosting and security

Sites are served over encrypted connections. Author-provided content is sanitized before publication. We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold.
